Mold Remediation
Got Mold? Finding mold in your home is always an unwelcome sight. Mold can be caused from a number of different sources such as leaking water pipes, moisture in walls, and carpets, and after a flood (if the water is not extracted and dryed properly). The different food sources, such as wood, dry wall, carpet etc. and amount of moisture can also create different types of mold such as black mold and other toxic molds. Mold, if not treated, can cause a number of health problems to the respiratory system and cause other problems such as headaches, nausea etc.*
At ARS we have experts trained in Mold Remediation. If you are already aware that you have mold, call us to professionally and safely remove the mold. In the event that you are not sure if your house has a mold problem, the first step would be to call an Industrial Hygienist to come test for mold (for names and phone #'s of hygienists in your area, call the ARS Corporate Office.) The second step would be to call ARS and set up an appointment for our IICRC Certified Technicians to come safely clean your home.
Our certified team of experts will do the following as needed:
- Contain mold from spreading
- Create a safe work environment
- Safely remove the mold
- Correct the problem to prevent future mold growth
- Hepa Vacuum the mold spores (a vacuum with a filter- designed for mold removal)
- Provide total reconstruction if needed after correcting the mold problem
- If needed, hire an Industrial Hygienist to test and verify the air quality in your home.
ARS technicians have three goals in mold remediation:
Provide health and safety
ARS technicians will help protect the health of workers and occupants during mold remediation. This includes preventing exposure during cleanup by wearing safety equipment. They will also prevent mold from spreading through the air by containing the mold spores with a negative air machine (the machine draws air from the contaminated room and other rooms and releases it clean and filtered.) Mold is a serious health concern, and at ARS our priority is protecting the health of you, your family and our technicians.
Removal of Mold
ARS technicians are trained to safely remove mold from all types of surfaces or locations. If mold is located in the dry wall or behind the wall, they will remove the contaminated area. They will then use a Hepa Vacuum to vacuum and contain the mold spores. If located on lumber or framing of the home, the technicians will sand the lumber or material, Hepa Vacuum the spores, appply an anti-microbial and then seal the area. Once the mold has been removed and sealed, it is time for reconstruction of the area.
Correct the Source of the Mold Problem
To prevent further mold growth, it is imperative to correct the source of the mold problem. This means stopping the source of moisture such as fixing a leaking pipe, drain or drying a damp area. At ARS we have the resources and training to correct these problems and help you on your way to preventing further mold growth.
ARS is the mold remediation experts and we are here to help you restore your home to a healthy and safe place to live. If you have further questions about mold remediation, check out our Client Tips on this site, Frequently Asked Questions on this site, or feel free to contact us.
