Judson "Jud" Eades - CEO
Jud Eades started with ARS after buying the company in 2006. Jud enjoys being involved in the community and is a member of the Utah State Athletics Big Blue Committee. He also enjoys supporting numerous local and national charities and events put on for the community. Prior to getting into the restoration industry, Jud owned several outdoor businesses. He also hosted an outdoor radio program "Utah Outdoors" on KSL 1160. In 2001, Jud became the first person to host a radio show from atop one of the worlds tallest mountains- "Aconcagua" (22,642 ft) - by satellite phone. Jud is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys bike riding, mountain climbing, repelling, 4-wheeling, skiing and any outdoor activity he can enjoy with his wife Sadie and four kids. He feels that ARS has the best staff of any business in the restoration industry and feels like they are family. Jud knows that customer service is number one in the disaster restoration business and is constantly striving to improve the service that ARS provides for its clients.
Mike Jones – Vice President of Operations
Mike Jones has been with ARS since 2007 and is the General Manager of the corporate office. Mike graduated with a bachelors degree from Utah State University. Before joining the ARS team, he worked in remodeling/construction for three years and spent five years as a property adjuster with State Farm. His experience working as an insurance adjuster has proved extremely beneficial to both clients and insurance personnel. Mike oversees the day to day operation of ARS as the General Manager. Along with his experience in the construction business and as an adjuster, Mike is IICRC Certified with a specialization in Fire and Smoke Restoration. Mike is also fluent in Spanish. Besides helping people restore their homes and businesses, Mike enjoys being involved with the Eagles Lodge, hiking and traveling with his wife Penny.
Sean Stark - Owner-ARS Eastern Idaho
Sean Stark has the ability to oversee nearly any type of property damage. With experience in small kitchen fires to large re-construction of multi-unit structural fires, he understands what is required for complete structural repair and deodorization. Sean has dried out multi-level college buildings, hospitals and critical banking operations. When things get really dirty, Sean has overseen the mitigation of large sewer backups in surgical centers, and mold removal in schools. He is a graduate in Business Administration from Utah State University, holds many IICRC Certifications and has trained with the Dewald Drying Academy. Sean is the Co-owner, along with Jud Eades, of the Rigby, ID office and is constantly improving his team and their service. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, especially skiing on fresh powder days.
Jerel Clark Jr.- Owner- SLC, UT Office
Jerel Clark Jr. has worked with ARS for over twenty years and is the General Manager of our Salt Lake City Location. Jerel has been in the construction/restoration business most of his life and has extensive experience working with insurance companies on catastrophe claims. As a restoration contractor, he is able to utilize his talents, such as the ability to work with people in a positive way and help the insurance company resolve claims fast and efficiently. Jerel is certified to handle any restoration project and has been a General Contractor for over fourteen years.
Dan Smoot- Owner- Provo/Orem, UT Office
Dan Smoot is the General Manager of our Provo/Orem, Utah office. Dan's engineering and business management background has helped him build a strong 24/7 disaster response restoration team- including qualified on-call project managers, general and sub-contractors, estimators and technicians. Dan graduated from Brigham Young University's Mechanical Engineering and MBA programs with emphases in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management. He is also a licensed real estate agent. Dan enjoys traveling with his wife and children, playing soccer and snow-skiing at his favorite haunt, Sundance.
Scott Mackintosh- General Manager- Rock Springs, WY
Scott Mackintosh has recently joined the ARS team as our General Manager for our new Rock Springs, WY office. Scott brings with him years of experience in the residential construction industry as a result of owning his own concrete construction business for 30 years. Scott has been trained in all aspects of restoration and is excited to open the new ARS office in Rock Springs. In his spare time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife Becky and their family, especially doing activities in the outdoors like hunting.
Dan NewMyer - Estimator- Logan, UT
Dan Newmyer has worked at ARS since 2000. He started as a carpet technician, and continued working with ARS by managing projects. He is now an estimator for ARS. Dan is IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration) Certified with a specialty in Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning and Water Damage Restoration. He is also certified with the Reets Drying Academy. As an ARS estimator, Dan is trained and qualified to inspect and provide an honest estimate for any restoration project. Outside of work, Dan enjoys the outdoors especially snowmobiling and is a member of the Cache Search and Rescue.
Jerren Barson – Estimator- Logan, UT
Jerren Barson has worked at ARS since 1992, initially working as an ARS carpet cleaner. He worked for 13 years as a carpet cleaner before becoming an Estimator and has gained notoriety as our in-house carpet and upholstery cleaning expert. Besides his cleaning expertise, Jerren is IICRC certified with a specialization in odor control. He is also AirCare Air Duct Decontamination certified. As an estimator, Jerren is certified to handle any restoration project to come his way, as he is also a General Contractor. Jerren enjoys being involved in the community and is a member of the Cache Valley Home Builders Association. In his spare time, Jerren enjoys playing softball, dodgeball and helping coach his son's several athletic teams.
Jonas Harmon - Production Manager - Logan, UT
Jonas Harmon is the production manager in the Logan office. Jonas graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, Health Education and Criminal Justice. Jonas has worked in the construction industry for many years and currently uses these skills in managing production, boarding up homes after a fire, doing demo work and assisting with estimates. He enjoys participating in various community service projects, training kids in BMX racing and snowboarding with his wife.
Dixon Buttars- Project Supervisor- Rigby, ID
Dixon Buttars has been with ARS since 2004. He has worked as a general technician, in mold remediation and as a carpenter. His specialty is finish work and he does a great job in making the homes and businesses ARS restores look great. Dixon is IICRC certified and also certified by the Reets Drying Academy. Outside of work, Dixon enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting and four-wheeling.
Shelbie Curtis – Office Manager- Corporate Office
Shelbie Curtis has been with ARS since 2006. Previous to joining ARS, Shelbie was a dental assistant which included scheduling patients and working with insurance companies. With ARS, she handles the organization of the office- taking care of accounts payables and receivables, overseeing carpet cleaning scheduling, human resources, and working with subcontractors and customers. Shelbie is also a member of the Smithfield Chamber of Commerce. Outside of work, Shelbie enjoys traveling with her husband Chris and participating in outdoor activities.
Alex Fife- Public Relations Manager - Corporate Office
Alex Fife joined ARS in March of 2008. Previous to joining ARS, Alex graduated from Utah State with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. While going to school she worked in various customer service jobs and most recently ended a one year internship with Aggie Sports Properties. She works with Shelbie in the organization of the office and working with clients, along with her duties in marketing ARS. Alex enjoys being involved in the community and is a participant of the Women in Business of Logan. She enjoys all the outdoor activities Cache Valley has to offer which include volleyball, snowmobiling and rock climbing with her husband Sterling.
Rob Walsh – Shop Supervisor- Logan, UT
Rob Walsh has been with ARS since 2006. He supervises work in the shop which includes all of the personal contents that need to be cleaned and equipment organization. In addition to these duties, Rob is trained and certified to respond to any disaster.
Rick Hargis- Lead Carpenter- Rock Springs, WY
Rick has been with ARS since 2009. He has worked in the construction industry for the last 15 years. Rick has experience in over-seeing jobs and running a crew of workers. He loves to take on challenges and takes pride in the work he does. He loves working with the customers in Rock Springs, and looks forward to living there full-time. Rick loves spending time with his wife Barbara and his daughters Sierra & Challis, especially going to shoot archery together.
